Mechanical Seals
Morgan is a trusted mechanical seal supplier in Egypt, with main branches in Hurghada. We supply mechanical seals for pumps, mixers, agitators and other rotating equipment. A mechanical seal stops liquid from leaking along a rotating shaft and keeps dirt and air out, helping your equipment run smoothly with less downtime.
We supply cartridge and component seals in single and double arrangements, with a choice of seal face and elastomer materials to match your liquid, temperature and pressure. Send us the pump model, shaft size or the old seal number and we will help you find the right match.

Mechanical Seals We Supply
Single Seals
One set of faces lubricated by the pumped liquid. For clean water and general-duty pumps.
Component Seals
Rotating part and seat fitted separately. Cost effective for standard pumps.
Rubber Bellows
Flexible rubber bellows drives the seal. For small water pumps and circulators.
Rubber Bellows
Flexible rubber bellows drives the seal. For small water pumps and circulators.
Balanced Seals
Reduced load on the faces. For higher pressure service.
Cartridge Seals
Pre-assembled and pre-set as one unit. Fast and easy to install, with less risk of fitting errors.
Double Seals
Two sets of faces with a barrier liquid between them. For hot, abrasive or hazardous liquids.

Seal Face Materials We Supply
- Carbon: Self-lubricating and the most common choice for general water and clean-liquid pumps.
- Silicon Carbide: Very hard. Resists abrasion, heat and aggressive liquids.
- Tungsten Carbide: Tough and wear-resistant. For abrasive liquids and higher pressure.
- Ceramic: An economical choice for clean water at moderate conditions.
Elastomer Materials
- NBR (Nitrile): For water, oils and general applications at standard temperatures.
- EPDM: Good for hot water and many water-based liquids. Not for mineral oils.
- FKM (Viton): Resists high heat, chemicals and oils.
Additional Features Available
- Spring or bellows design: Single spring, multiple springs, wave spring or bellows keep the faces in contact as they wear.
- Balanced design: For higher pressure applications.
- O-ring and gasket seals: Secondary seals between the seal, the shaft and the housing.
- Pump seal kits: Seals with O-rings and gaskets for pump repairs.

Frequently Asked Questions
A mechanical seal stops liquid from leaking along a rotating pump shaft. One face is fixed to the pump and the other turns with the shaft. Spring force and liquid pressure press them together, and a very thin liquid film between them lubricates the contact.
Yes. Morgan delivers across Egypt from our branches in Hurghada. Contact us on WhatsApp for availability and a quotation.
Usually yes. Send Morgan the pump brand and model, the shaft size, or the old seal number and we will confirm the match and the price.
A cartridge seal comes pre-assembled and pre-set, so it is easier and faster to install. A component seal is fitted in separate parts. It can cost less but needs an experienced technician. Morgan supplies both.
A single seal has one set of faces lubricated by the pumped liquid. A double seal has two sets with a barrier liquid between them. It is used for hot, abrasive or hazardous liquids
Carbon for general clean-liquid pumps. Silicon carbide for abrasive, hot or aggressive liquids. Tungsten carbide for abrasive liquids and higher pressure. Send Morgan the liquid, temperature and pressure and our team will advise.
The seal faces lose their liquid film, overheat and wear out very quickly, often within minutes. Always make sure the pump is full of liquid before starting it.
Usually yes. A mechanical seal does not drip like packing, needs no regular adjustment and does not wear a groove in the shaft. The stuffing box should be checked first, so send Morgan the pump details and we will advise.
Measure the shaft or sleeve diameter and send Morgan the pump model or the old seal markings. A photo of the old seal also helps.
